It was Monday, September 7, 2009, yet it was an ordinary Monday. Well, everybody hates Monday, right? I do hate Monday too and what makes it worse, I have a Math class at the end of that day. Math was just so frustrating and the class was in mid-afternoon, the peak of exhaustion and bad mood. But apparently, it wasn't an ordinary Monday, because the school had reduced the length of classes activity, from 45 minutes to 30 minutes, and said that we were all going to have a movie workshop at the end of the whole school activity.
As for my class, my friends all groaned and said that they all preferred to go home than attending another boring workshop (yeah, basically all workshops at school revolve around universities promotion, higher education seminars, or seminar from a foundation, etc). And when the school announced about the so-called movie workshop, we were all assuming it was going to be a workshop where we would all watch a documentary film, maybe about global warming, garbage, etc (boring stuff, you know).
It was around 12 o'clock in the afternoon, and we were still in the frustrating math class, discussing about whatsoever matrix (anyway, it was an easy lesson though ^_^ but I guess since we were all very tired, we could hardly think no more). And after the class ended, the school announced all students to go to the auditorium to attend the movie workshop. Meanwhile, my friends were still grumbling that they didn't want to attend the workshop and preferred to just go home.
I went straight to the auditorium with a friend (the one that didn't hesitate to stay in the 3rd floor during the earthquake, if you read the previous post) and used a shortcut from our classroom. The shortcut I talked about here is a corridor, but rarely passed by some students, so basically it connected from our classroom to the auditorium door. So we used that path and we were all about to enter the auditorium through the back door, but a security said that we should enter through the main entrance of the auditorium so that we could also receive some merchandise.
While going from the back door to the main one, I happened to come across this very tall guy, wearing a V-neck T-shirt, donning glasses, and a fedora hat in the corridor. He struck me more than just someone from an institution or foundation (someone came from an institution or foundation to promote their stuff normally wear something simpler, with a badge of the institution logo or something like that). But he happened to be just very stylish! Haha gotta say that.
Well, finally we arrived in the main entrance, and happened to meet with the other students (it was a crowd actually) entering the auditorium, outside the entrance, there was this woman giving away these merchandises (turned out to be a note with "Serigala Terakhir" poster on it, and a pin). At first I was confused what Serigala Terakhir was, but turned out it was not just a workshop, it was like private screening (yeah like in film festivals) and a press conference. On some sides of the aisles, the crew set up two flat screen TVs, so that the students sitting in the back didn't have to look on the screen in the distance. While at the stage, six posters featuring six guys were also set up.
These girls even made strange gestures other than applausing, as these boys were entering the auditorium. Even a friend of mine, who clearly never expressed her inner fangirl out, suddenly just freaked out as well. That's one big thing. In fact, I must say, I was among those fangirls screaming, well, I didn't particularly scream but I just thought 'wow, they're so cool, kind of hot, but...cool. Hot and cool, get it?' >_< style="color: rgb(255, 204, 204);">a female director! Wow! Way to go!) named Upi also attended.
Apparently "Serigala Terakhir" is not a movie about werewolves, just like I thought. It turned out to be a movie about gangster, like a gang of six rebellious boys, something like that. She played some casting videos for us to see. The first one, and the most breathtaking one because it featured the cutest actor among the rest, was the video of Agung playing as Bara. The casting video for each cast was divided into (I think) four sections, the original casting, the rehearsal, the scene shooting, and the real footage of the scene from the movie. The casting video of Agung featured a scene where he took his shirt off, and the quiet auditorium suddenly went....... you know.... Also, some students who were interested in motion picture and students from drama club were asked to stand up and went to the stage.
And then the workshop continued and all girls continued to go 'aww...' throughout the session. Well, during the session, I finally figured out that the guy wearing a V-neck I met earlier, was no other than Vino G Bastian himself. He's one of the most known cast members among the rest, since he's played in several box office movies in Indonesia, such as 30 Hari Mencari Cinta. I quickly told my friend. "Vino? I happened to walk pass him in the corridor before entering the hall." and my friend went like "What? How could you not realize that you just walked pass a superstar?". That's because I didn't realize it was him.
Throughout the session, Agung always fascinated me (and apparently all girls there) the most. He was innocent and cute and charming. I thought he was the youngest, despite the fact that he was tall and his costars were all in their twenties. There was a moment in the Q&A session when a student asked what grade Agung was in, and he replied (still in his innocent way)
"I'm in Grade 9."
Anndddd.......cute guy, quite tall, YOUNGER THAN ALL THE STUDENTS IN THE ROOM? He was in Grade 9! And we, Indonesians, call that kind of crush towards younger boys as "Berondong" as in "Popcorn" in English. The room grew completely noisy, with loud 'AWWWW...HE'S A BERONDONG!' or 'HE'S THREE YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME!' echoing.
Haha that was cute. Anyway, Mbak Upi also answered some questions about her difficulties, obstacles, and problems she had in the movie set, and I must say she really is a tough woman. She's a woman and she can deal with guys while working on a hardcore movie! Two thumbs up for her! At the end of the session, before we closed the entire session with a prayer, the lights suddenly went out, which surely embarrasses the school for they're having movie stars guests. But it didn't let down everybody's mood, so the seniors, followed with the juniors and freshmen, finally sang our school theme song, to lighten up everybody's mood in the room.
The electricity didn't go on, and the entire workshop (since the electricity went off) was ended. All students rushed towards the stage to ask for photographs and autographs, but the host told them to do that downstairs. Two of my friends were really excited to get the autographs and photographs, so they said rushed downstairs and waited for the cast members to descend.
Well, this was the moment all students' mode switched to paparazzis mode. They waited in the school entrance near the stairs. Well, there were two stairs near the main entrance at school and I heard some girls saying. "You wait here, I'll wait in the other stairs." exactly, like paparazzis chasing Paris Hilton. I waited and waited (it wasn't me who was waiting though, I was just waiting for my friends who were waiting for the cast members). And then one of the girls screamed "THERE THEY ARE!" (at the moment, I was thinking of making a PC game called Mamarazzi, about bunch of fangirls chasing hot celebrities).
Okay, the students quickly rushed and took pictures with them. I was neutral though and even some of my other friends asked me to take their pictures with Vino, before he was shoved into the car. My close friend was excited to take pictures with the other celebrities remaining. One named Dion and the other one Reza Pahlevi. When my friend was posing with Reza, I took the picture, and then she offered me to take picture with him too, alone.
And Reza, unexpectedly, happened to offer me as well. (a celeb offered a not-so-fan to take a picture? way to go.) He happens to be the nicest celebrity ever, and down to earth too! So if you scroll down a bit, you'll see what the picture looks like. Me and the celeb. Well, at that moment, I didn't know the actor's name I was posing with is Reza. It was weird, wasn't it? That I didn't even realize whom I posed with. Even the next day, my classmate (who excitedly told me that she got an accidental access to the Language Lab, the base of the movie crew and cast, and happened to chat with AGUNG! Man, I was so jealous. She even asked for his Facebook account, and, since she was a financial staff for the upcoming school event, she even asked for him to donate for the event)
Oh sadly, my classmate who was madly in love with Agung didn't get the merchandise, because she made it through the back entrance while entering the auditorium. So, when I put the notebook on my desk the next day, she was suddenly excited and flipped it open, only to find a movie still featuring Agung and begged me if she could have that picture ONLY.
