Sweeeet spring break!

[It should be entitled: 10 reasons for not traveling out of town for Spring Break]

OK guys, trip to Epcot post is done, I just need to upload the pictures and then it's up.

Hawaii, LA, NYC, Miami, San Diego....seeing the tweets of most of my friends going out of town for spring break make me somehow down due to the fact I'm going to stay where I am now for a week, and even more, I'm a traveling-kind-of-girl cos I hardly ever stay at where I am during break: I always go out of town and stay there for a couple of days before going back.

So, I'm going to make a list that would justify my reasons of staying in the Bay Area, and would hopefully cheer me up:
  1. I spent a lot on winter break already. I need to give my wallet a little rest, and especially I didn't get to work part-time on winter quarter due to taking 6 friggin classes. So that sort of adds the point.

  2. I should save more money for my future university tuition. University tuition rates these days are a bit unstable so I should be ready for an unexpected tuition rise.

  3. All of my close friends stay here. So why would bother going out of town alone while your friends are having fun here?

  4. I basically have visited "Top 4 Places I'm Dying to Visit in U.S": LA for last spring break, NY, and Miami (even Disneyworld! ZOMG) for winter break. Did I even mention that I've been to the awesome midwest? As in Colorado? And I played with snow there????

  5. I can do things I've never got to do in school days: brushing up my graphic designing skills, blogging, movie marathon, playing pinata with friends, shopping, lol-ing till I cry, sleepover maybe......

  6. I could actually choose to go to LA with some other friends if I really wanted to go out of town badly (my parents actually suggested me going there to visit my soon-to-be school), but the plan was canceled, so, they're kinda stuck here too.

  7. Spring Cleaning! Hello, my apartment is like a Titanic+Costa Concordia aftermath

  8. Was probably thinking to have a driving lesson here....but most likely not though

  9. Ticket to Hawaii is wayyyy too expensive. My close friends originally planned to go there this spring break. The plan has been up even since September, the same moment we planned on going to Orlando, because ticket to Hawaii was around $500 at that time. Of course, the price skyrockets along the time, and even I heard if we booked it a few months prior to the traveling day, it'd cost close to plane ticket back to Indonesia!

  10. Culinary tour around SF Bay Area, starting from Ramen!

  11. There's plenty of interesting spots in Bay Area: San Francisco, Napa, Monterey, Sausalito, Gilroy, Palo Alto, etc, even tomorrow we're taking off to Santa Cruz!
The point of Spring Break is about having fun, right? I believe the definition of having fun doesn't always have to be traveling, but at least it's something you can do together with your friends wherever you are *cheering myself up*

ORLANDO for winter. pt 4: around the world in 10 hours

Previously: It was a disbelief, considering it was one of the places I'd always been dying to go to. The day really left me with a distinct impression and I somehow hoped I would be able to experience the same thing all over again :)

- DAY 4: DECEMBER 20, 2011 -

Our days onwards would be continued with Aymee and Ardy, who just arrived last night at around 3 am. We were originally planning to go to Seaworld, but the only shuttle to go there would take off from the hotel at 7.20 am – that's very early especially considering Aymee and Ardy only had small portions of sleep. So change of schedule, Epcot was chosen! The earliest and only shuttle would be ready by 11am so we all could have a chance to wake up late.

Unlike the day before, we woke up at 9 am, took a shower, and got ready to go to the second out of four Disney parks in Orlando. The shuttle took us at 11.00 am and we reached there at around 11.30 am. Much unexpectedly as yesterday's visit to Magic Kingdom, there were lots more people packed outside the entrance in order to go in. I guess going to a theme park a little late was taking its toll, but anyway.

Alhamdulillah :)

They say nothing is impossible
Before today, I didn't have faith in that statement
But today, it proves itself to be true

:) :) :)

Thank you God :)

ORLANDO for winter. pt 3: when you wish upon a star

Previously: It was very brief. We stayed inside the plane while looking out to the still-dark, Kansas landscape before the plane took off for Boston...and this time for real.

- DAY 3: DECEMBER 19, 2011 -

Wakey wakey!
It's day 3! The wait is over! Two people's dreams are about to come true (mine particularly, haha, I sound biased enough, don't I? ^^). The exhilaration of going to Magic Kingdom was so overwhelming that I even picked out my best outfit I brought and dressed up, considering I'd go to the most awaited site I'd ever always dreamed of going.

Shortly after munching on our breakfast we brought the night before, we got on the 9.05 am shuttle to Animal Kingdom. You ask, why Animal Kingdom? When we're actually scheduled to go to Magic Kingdom today? It's simply because there was no morning shuttle to Magic Kingdom, so we needed to drop by at Animal Kingdom before transferring by Disney parks transportation to the ultimate destination.
